Bellevue-Stratford Hotel (pp. 134—139)

This is the Grand Ballroom of the Bellevue-Stratford Hotel in Philadelphia, where, on June 26, 1953, Harry delivered his first speech as a former president. It was vintage Truman. "Do not be misled by the desire for lower taxes into cutting corners on our national security," he warned. The hotel has mostly been converted into upscale shops, but the ballroom has been preserved.
